2016 I'm one of the finalists in the largest and most prestigious competition International Visionary Awards, at Alternative Hairshow in London. The finals will take place october 16, at Royal Albert Hall, in London.
When I first started helping out at a beauty salon, at the age of fourteen, I immediately fell in love with the industry. I love to interact with clients at the salon, and be able to fulfill their vision of how they want their hair to look and feel.
I´ve worked as a professional hairdresser since 1987. In 1989 I was invited to work backstage as an assistant stylist and colorist at Matrix shows and seminars in Sweden.
After attending new hire training in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, I worked as a part time educator for Matrix in Sweden, at the same time I ran my own salon in Malmö, in the south of Sweden. In 1994 I was invited to work backstage at Hair Olympics in London, and I also travelled around Scandinavia, to Denmark, Norway, Finland, Faeroe Islands and Iceland, doing shows and seminars for Matrix.
In 1997 Matrix is launched in Hungary, Check Republic and Poland and I´m working on stage at the launch events, introducing Matrix color to eastern Europe.
Between the years 2000-2003 Matrix in Scandinavia present their own trend collection, once a year, and I´m part of the team creating the trend. I´m also part of the team working at the photoshoots, and touring the Scaninavian countries with the trend shows.
2009 I´m nominated Hairdresser of the Year, and 2012 I´m nominated Hairdresser of the Year Avantgarde.
2011 and 2012 I was asked to be a part of the hairdressing team at Swedens biggest television production, Melodifestivalen, a music competition where the winner represents Sweden in the european competition, Eurovision song contest.
In 2014 I was invited to work with Matrix Global Design Team creating the Trend Collection for f/w of 2014/2015, Graffity Nation, inspired by the art of graffity. Later that year the Graffity Trend Team did the opening show at Destination Imagination event i Spain. Today I combine work at the salon with shows, seminars and photoshoots.
